Army Presentation Team and ARRC leaders host Innsworth Community |
|
The British Army Presentation Team and senior leaders from the Allied Rapid Reaction Corps hosted members of the Innsworth community with a view towards the ARRC’s move there this summer.
The Army Presentation Team, an organization of British soldiers whose job is to foster military-civilian relations and to inform communities about the Army, and headed up by Colonel Jim Willis MBE were at Innsworth’s Hatherley Manor 02 Feb 10 to host an evening for approximately 300 members of the local community as part of the UK Army’s national community engagement plan.

Former ISAF and USAREUR Commander visits HQ ARRC |

Former commander of NATO's International Security Assistance Force and United States Army Europe, Gen. (Ret.) David McKiernan, visited HQ ARRC from 21 - 22 January to provide a senior commander's operational insight for its recent exercise focussed on Major Combat Operations (MCO). Gen. McKiernan, who served as ISAF commander up until June 2009, and as Commander U.S. Army Europe (USAREUR) from December 2006 to May 2008,
was guest speaker and senior leader advisor for Exercise ARRCADE GUARD 10 which focussed on conducting corps- level major combat operations in a scenario geographically set in Iraq. .. more |

HQ ARRC Relinquishes NRF Commitment |
From 1st July 2009 after months of preparation and training, HQ ARRC became the Land component of NATO's high-readiness Reaction Force (NRF). This is a commitment fulfilled by a different NATO HQ every six months which could see the HQ deploying, at short notice, anywhere in the world. For the last six months HQ ARRC has maintained its personnel at a state of high-readiness ready to be dispatched at very short notice. It has now completed its commitment and handed the task over to NATO’s Danish Division based in Hadeslev, Southern Jutland. .. more |

New Year Honours for ARRC |

HQ ARRC, MONCHENGLADBACH, Germany 01 Jan 2010 - The Commander of the Allied Rapid Reaction
Corps, Lieutenant General ARD Shirreff CBE was appointed as Knight Commander
to the Military Division of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath (KCB) in this year's New
Years Honours List. Other ARRC personnel to be honoured in this year's list
included:

MBE - Lt Col M R ELVISS RA ,
Lt Col H CAMPBELL-SMITH RDG,
