Approximately 1000 personnel assigned to Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (ARRC) arrived at Beacon Barracks, Staffordshire, today to begin a 5-day exercise designed to prepare the unit for its scheduled role in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Response Force (NRF) in 2013.

Headquarters Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (ARRC) has drawn a line under the
Afghanistan deployment and has embarked on the road to NRF standby from January 2013. HQ ARRC will provide the headquarters commanding the land component of the joint force ready to deploy at short notice on any future NATO operation.
