This site is designed primarily for U.S. Military and Family members assigned to the Allied Rapid Reaction Corps. It is also meant for those who wish to know more about the United States Army's role and contribution to this vital NATO force headquarters. http://www.army.mil> and US Air Force staffs 29 positions at Headquarters ARRC across the full range of operations and support. Their are an additional 3 US Army NCOs and one DA Civilian in the US National Support Element which supports US Military and Family members assigned to the ARRC. The senior ranking American officer is a brigadier general assigned as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations and Intelligence.
The ARRC is the land component of NATO's Rapid Reaction Forces under the permanent operational command of the Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR). It is multinational and comprises staff, affiliated military formations (brigades through divisions across Europe), and representatives from 15 partner nations. It exists to deploy on short notice as directed by SACEUR to undertake combined joint military operations ranging from peace support to high intensity warfare.
