NHQSa hosts 14th Regulations Drafting Workshop

The 14th Regulations Drafting Workshop hosted and supported by NHQSa was held from 2 - 6 July. The initial agenda for the drafting of five regulations was expanded to account for an additional two. Experts from the MoD, AFBiH, Ministry of Finance and Treasury and NHQSa have now drafted the Book of Rules on Service in the AFBiH, the Book of Rules on Education and Professional Development in the AFBiH, with an additional Programme of Education and Professional Development, in addition to the Book of Rules on Medical Evaluations, the Book of Rules on Uniforms, the Book of Rules on Military Discipline and the Book of Rules on Expenditures for MoD hosted events. Finalisation of these regulations continues and NHQSa expect of the MoD that they will be enacted by the end of this year.

The new NHQSa Commander, Brigadier General Lord opened the Workshop together with Deputy Minister Pendeš. During his opening speech General Lord stated that: "Well thought-out and implemented regulations provide the framework for complex defence and military activities; poor regulations make life much more difficult and affect operational effectiveness. That is why the work you have before you today should be considered seriously as it affects the work of defence personnel throughout the country. As well, the military, like all organizations, must progress with the times, and in this case that means reviewing the regulations from time to time."
