WO Roberto Romero, Deputy Senior Enlisted Leader Joint Force Command Naples, attended the 9th International Senior NCO Allied Command of Operations-Allied Command Of Transformation (ACO-ACT) Symposium hosted in the NATO Joint Force Training Centre in Bydgoszcz, Poland 31 May to 2nd June 10.
The event was sponsored by ACT CSM Kolesa and ACO CSM Balch. The 3 day meeting involved Senior Non-Commissioned Officers from 8 NATO Headquarters and 26 countries including NATO Nations, Partnership for Peace (PfP) Nations and NATO Contact Countries.
Items discussed included recruitment and retention, Counter-Insurgency (COIN), Counter-Improvised Explosive Devices (C-IED) as well as Pre-Deployment trainings and the last operations NATO carriedout in Afghanistan.
Participants also met with the JFTC Commander, Major General Johannes Bager and took part in two Video conferences with Supreme Allied Commander Transformation, General Stephane Abrial who briefed them about the new strategic vision of the Alliance and with ACT Chief of Staff, Vice Admiral Robert G. Cooling.
On the final day a meeting was held with the Mayor of the City of Bydgoszcz, Mr. Konstanty Dombrowicz.
