NTM-I Gets Defensive Driving Skills Training

BAGHDAD 10th November 2009 –– A Defensive Driving Skills Training Course is being conducted by the "in house” Carabinieri team from NTM-I Gendarmerie Training Division for NTM-I personnel.
The team is providing theoretical and practical classes to all NTM-I members in order to improve their driving skills and enhance their ability to deal with any security related incident.
The Staff have the opportunity to practice driving techniques and procedures in the field, including manoeuvres to safely escape from an ambush.
Major General Giuseppe Spinelli, NTM-I Deputy Commander, expressed his satisfaction for the results that the course is producing and for the professionalism shown by the trainers. He said: "It is a laudable initiative which certainly contributes to increasing the security measures in place, reducing the risk to our personnel.”
