Baghdad, Iraq – In the framework of the training activities sponsored by the NATO Training Mission-Iraq (NTM-I) in the NATO Countries in favour of the Iraqi Security Forces, two Iraqi Generals attended the Crisis Management Exercise (CMX), the final phase of the sixth NATO Regional Cooperation Course at the NATO Defence College in Rome.


Joint Training Coordination Cell Implementation Working Group meets at the NATO Training Mission-Iraq Headquarters

Baghdad, Iraq – The Joint Training Coordination Cell (JTCC) Implementation Working Group met for the first time on Wednesday 23 November at the NATO Training Mission-Iraq (NTM-I) Headquarters. NTM-I Deputy Commander, Maj. Gen. Giovanni Armentani, opened the session on behalf of NTM-I Commander, Lt. Gen. Robert L. Caslen, Jr.. "I thank you very much for coming here today and let me say what a great pleasure and honour it is for me to warmly welcome you all to this first Joint Training Coordination Cell Implementation Working Group,” he said.

NTM-I bids Farewell to Danish Contingent during a Medal Parade in Baghdad

NATO Training Mission-Iraq (NTM-I) Commander, Lt. Gen. Robert L. Caslen, Jr., bade farewell to NTM-I's Danish contingent on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at the unit's headquarters in Baghdad. Lt. Gen. Caslen expressed his thanks for their service in remarks following a medal parade for personnel who had completed their tour of duty in Iraq.



Fifty NTM-I military members participate in DANCON March

 Baghdad, Iraq – Fifty military members of NATO Training Mission-Iraq (NTM-I) took part in a DANCON March at Forward Operating Base Union III on 4th November 2011. The march was organized by the six Danish officers and NCOs currently deployed as part of NTM-I.

Iraqi Officers graduate from Battle Staff Course

Taji, Iraq – On November 3, a graduation ceremony was held at the Iraqi Battle Staff Training (BST) School, Taji, to award thirty-three Iraqi Officers their certificates on the successful completion of the BST Course. The course, which was conducted by NTM-I trainers, was developed for battalion-level commanders and included map reading, staff procedures, signal procedures, the military decision-making process and order production.
