Lt. Gen. Michael Ferriter, Commander NATO Training Mission - Iraq, visits SHAPE

Brussels, SHAPE – Lieutenant General Michael Ferriter, Commander of the NATO Training Mission in Iraq (NTM-I), visited SHAPE Headquarters on 25 May and met with Admiral James Stavridis, Supreme Allied Commander Europe, and General Sir Richard Shirreff, Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe, to discuss ongoing NATO military mission in Iraq.


NTM-I conducts personnel rotation ceremonies

BAGHDAD – U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Michael Ferriter, commander NATO Training Mission-Iraq, conducted a NATO Medal Parade Ceremony for NTM-I advisors and staff who are departing the mission between May and July. The ceremony took place at NTM-I's headquarters on Forward Operating Base Union III here May 20.

Baghdad – Ambassadors to the Republic of Iraq from NATO and Partner for Peace nations visited the NATO Training Mission-Iraq Headquarters here May 13. NTM-I Commander, US Army Lt. Gen. Michael Ferriter; NTM-I Deputy Commander, Italian Army Maj. Gen. Claudio Angelelli; as well as senior leadership representatives from both United States Forces-Iraq NTM-I met with the guests during the visit.

Claudio Angelelli, NATO Training Mission Iraq's deputy commander addressed SHAPE's National Military Representatives and members of NATO's Military Committee, on behalf of NTM-I Commander, U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Michael Ferriter. The brief concentrated on points regarding an extension of NATO's mission in Iraq through the end of 2013.
